San Luis Obispo Trip - Captain Nemo

So I'm reprinting what I wrote over at tripsandhobbies.blogspot.com for my Disney trip. We hit up SLO on the way back from the Mouse House, and I was able to enjoy a couple of minutes inside Nemo's to pickup some miniatures. San Luis Obispo's used games, comics, and music store. It was there when I was going to the University from 1993-1999. It's moved a couple of times, with it's present location across from the Spike's Bar and a block away from the Thursday Night Farmer's Market. There is more parking now, which helps when you want to stop by.

Music CDs and LPs are the old staples of this store, and it's the first thing you see. The other big seller are the used movie DVDs and classic video games. Off to the left as you enter the store is the prize we're looking for: miniature wargames.

There is a nice selection of GW space marine against the wall with another wall of 40k adversaries filling up space. Most are the modern boxes, but Nemo still buys old and classic versions from the local college kids. This is where you can still find BFG models, Orkamorka box sets, Epic boxes, old editions of codices, and fantasy adventure boxes. It's a little treasure trove of classic GW. Behind the wall of 40k, there's two more walls of Fantasy Battle blisters and boxes. As a concession to changing times, Warmachine/Hordes has a small display.

Beyond the little plastic men, there are two aisles of RPG and boardgames of various ages (Current to 2nd edition D&D) tucked into the side. Before the move to this location, there was a lot more product. It's a slightly reduced set that may still carry a gem if you look hard enough.
