With encouragement from the wife, I've been bust trying to complete a build and paint of my White Scars army for the Game Kastle 40K Tourney on Dec 12th. It's a 1850 point game using the Adepticon scenarios that we ran for Adeptus Turkeicus. Here's my list that I was considering:

Thoughts and/or comments? Any recommendations for tactics based on how you did in the tourney?

Might doublecheck whether Khan's unit gets Counterattack. I think they get Hit n Run. Hit n Run might be better though?
ReplyDeleteAlso, don't forget that the rulebook says that if you plan to outflank with reserves you have to tell your opponent during deployment (p. 94 of the little rulebook). You probably know, but don't want anyone getting mad at the tourney. :)
I'd also consider (just a thought) Null Zone for the Librarian over Might of Ancients. Seems to me like you have plenty of Light Armour killing power with this list and you also have the potential of forcing a lot of inv saves with all power swords, fists, missiles, and meltas. Plus on that very rare (probably never) turn where Khan rolls the insta-kill against a non-eternal warrior it would be sad to lose that to a single inv save.
Looks like a fun list though. Very mobile. Hope you make it to the tourney and have fun.
One of the things I noticed in our tournament that may or may not translate is to remember the secondary objectives. I think for a couple of people scores would have been much higher if they had remembered the secondary objectives.

Better. I would prefer those Predators to be Autocannon, Heavy Bolter sponsooned. Also check the points on the combat squad with pf and razorback. I would probably drop that unit for a third unit of bikes. You can strip one bike off of each of the others and maybe make a third bike unit. Something to keep in mind is that to count as a scoring unit you only need 3 bikes (or is it 5?) but attack bikes count as 2 so just a couple of attack bikes can be scoring.
