Game Kastle Flea Market
It's that part of the year again, and Game Kastle held their quarterly flea market.
I didn't intending to get anything, but this was quite a haul.
Not a complete collection, but enough for 2 Jovian Chronicles armies: a CEGA fleet and a JAF fleet.

2015 Resolutions
2014 just finished up and we are now into 2015.
Not much was posted in the second half of 2015 since the group focus was on Star Wars RPG and the Pathfinder RPG.
Here's a recap of my 2014 resolutions:
For 2014, I'm going to attempt to go the opposite direction and make easier and achievable Resolutions. I'm going to have 4 Resolutions to work to for my hobbies.
Here they are:
1) paint 2 Retribution units (non-solos),
2) build and paint a 1000pt Raven Guard Army,
3) build and paint a Christmas gift model, and
4) build and paint a Kickstarter unit (Deadzone, Robotech, or Hardsuit).
This should be far more achievable than the last couple of years.
As an experiment, I was able to paint up a pair of WarmaHordes solos for Christmas in about a weeks time and I think I can do the same with the models I have. Given about 40 weeks of the calendar that I can work on models, at a pace of 2 model a week, then I should be able to paint up the 15 Retribution models, 35 Raven Guard models, 1 Christmas model, and 10 Kickstarter models with some time to spare.
In addition to time spent painting, there's also the possibility of running a Fanime panel. That's still being developed, so stay tuned.

So, the results are...that I didn't meet any of them. Don't get me wrong, I started every one of the projects, but life got busy and I never could manage my time to meet any of the goals. Inspiration also disappeared since we didn't regularly wargame.
Since it is now 2015, let's look at some resolutions for this year.

This is much weaker than the previous years, but let's try to meet them this year.

A White Scars biker.

Hobby Time
In other news, I picked up some Classic Battletech Unseen Battlemechs. There are 13 of 16 plastic molded Battlemechs.
Who knows, maybe we'll get in some Classic Battletech.

Star Wars Saga RPG
Yeah, you read that title right, I've been playing and occupying myself with the older Star Wars Saga RPG.
This is a model that I've thought about as a starting point. It is a nice model, but the work to modify the head may be extensive.
We're running a campaign that's set post-Order 66, not long after Darth Vader was saved. I decided on a Kel Dor Jedi, a former Padawan on the run when his Master was killed in a Vader ambush.
From a modeling perspective, there really isn't any good models out there to portray a Kel Dor. Knight Models (from Spain) has a Ki-Adi-Mundi model that's a good starting point to model one.
Here's a Jedi Master from the Clone Wars cartoon.

This model is another candidate. Modifying this one will also be extensive. However, the pose is closer to what I want, and the armored plates give him a look that's more in line with my image of a post-Clone Wars Mercenary (née Jedi) look.
